Creating storified scripts for engaging video lesson in Mathematics

* I facilitated learning in literacy, numeracy and science for 45 amazing second and third graders of an under-resourced community school in Nigeria * I increased the literacy rate from 8% to about 40% in 4 months. Increased numeracy rate from 40% to 75% through creative lesson designs and use of concrete objects* I facilitated social emotional learning through virtual connections on Empatico and flipgrid.* I developed 21st century compliant global citizens by facilitating learning on competency skills.* During the COVID19 pandemic lockdown, I ensured learning continued by engaging the pupils through the use of Free SMS sponsored by MTN and I also delivered food items courtesy of a friend.

* I designed and co-facilitated virtual training on STEM & Scratch programming for over 300 educators and students across seven African countries in two cohorts in collaboration with partners in Uganda, Kenya, and North Macedonia.* I initiated an annual Children’s Day program to coach and mentor 100+ students on character and life skills.* I initiated various virtual sessions on Gender Equality, Educators’ Hangout programs, and Advocacy against rape with partners in the United States of America, Finland, Uganda, and Ghana, with a total audience of over 2000 people.

Through the experience, I was paired with a classroom in North Macedonia, Europe. Through this experience, I was able to improve the learning outcomes of my students as they moved from a literacy level of 18% to 55% in just 3 months. They became interested in learning and also influenced their community to develop interest in learning.I developed empathy and kindness in my learners through the learning experience.I encouraged my students to model kindness in the entire school.
