About Adebola Fatilewa

I am a Nigerian Development Communication practitioner with International Development experience, specifically in working with local communities to drive social change using rights-based approaches. I have a keen interest in health communication, and I am passionate about rural development and using communication to facilitate increased citizen voice in decision-making about their lives. I am currently studying for an MSc in Communication for Development at the University of Reading, and I have a BSc. in Public Health from Babcock University, Nigeria. I have skills in program management and design; and monitoring and evaluation including qualitative research and report writing. In the last three years, I have worked with Christian Aid primarily on a DFID-funded good governance project in Nigeria where I managed the communications component of the project for learning and facilitating social change. Upon completion of my studies, I am looking forward to a role where I would use development communication approaches and media technologies to influence policy making and support development projects.

I facilitated the development of the communications strategy led on the production of communication materials for internal and external audiences including donors.
