In this role, I was responsible for managing the communication activities of the organisation at the country level and supported with monitoring and evaluation. I facilitated the development of the communications strategy led on the production of communication materials for internal and external audiences including donors. I developed communications content for a DFID supported project by compiling articles, case studies and stories of change for reports, publication and use on the project website. I set-up and strategically managed all social media accounts for the country office where I produced content and monitored audience interest and growth to make decisions about relevant content. I wrote annual and monthly narrative reports for a six-partner project to DFID as part of their donor requirements and was involved in programme decisions made through learning during implementation. I was also involved in a research around masculinity and religion in Nigeria where I facilitated focus group discussions.

I worked in this role for 10 months where I provided logistic support to the programme teams through the planning and coordination of workshops, meetings and travel. I also provided general office administrative support and was responsible for meeting minutes, workshop reports and internal coordination of external communications activities. The development of report writing and efficient event management skills were key learning for me in this role.
