Worked for an Ear, Nose, Throat doctor's office assisting our physicians in patient care. I routinely assisted the physicians with ear cleanings and post-operative care, administering treatments to patients, retrieving medical records, administrative paperwork, ordering prescriptions to pharmacies, and general office administrative duties.• Learned our practices EMR system and can transfer that knowledge to most systems• Gained more knowledge and experience in office administration, as my position required these skills to be used on a daily basis.• Entered all data for patients into system• Used MS Office to send emails to Drs and patients• Made sure all patient insurance and info was up to date in system

President of our College’s Black Student Union. Lead a team of six other students to create events and opportunities for the wider campus, as well as creating safe spaces for our students of color to come and engage in community with one another.• Organized a three-day weekend retreat to Chicago on Martin Luther King Day to help engageour campus on racial issues, African-American culture and worship. Coordinated guestspeakers, excursions within the city and daily conversations and activities for all 15 studentswho came on retreat.• Held 3 fundraisers during the semester which generated over $1500 in revenue for the BlackStudent Union.Accomplishments• Worked with VP of college to create a bi-annual roundtable event for all faculty, staff, andstudents of color to meet for fellowship, a meal, and discussion. This was the first of its kind forany minority group at the college.
