I work within the bank's middleware integration team where we build and maintain APIs that allow customers to perform transactions securely and seamlessly across all our platforms and for all our customers both internal and external. Specifically, some of my work is described below:- Actively develop and support the APIs that power the bank's customer-facing channels - Mobile App, Internet Banking, and USSD.- Provided value by building and maintaining the bank's payments application for over 30 billers.- Integrate with external applications and APIs from third-party vendors and the bank's partners such as NIBSS, MTN, Paystack, Flutterwave, Interswitch, etc. - Developed an RPA solution for credit checks as a member of the EZ Cash team - Stanbic IBTC's Instant loan service.- Provide guidance and mentorship to younger/newer developers within the team.

As a member of the 13th set of the bank's graduate trainee program, I was introduced to the financial services industry where I learnt the basics of banking business, business communication, customer engagement. Beyond the theoretical knowledge, I gained practical experience as I worked at the branch for a few months where I processed customer loans, reviewed accounts statements to make business loan decisions, and effectively managed customer complaints. I was thereafter moved to the IT department where I was groomed further and mentored by senior colleagues to write efficient and high-quality API services.
