Research was conducted on optimizing continuous phase plate configurations for two-state focal zooming, by using MATLAB to model discrete phase plates (DPPs). These models were found to be very accurate and led to the development of new techniques for designing, optimizing, and testing zooming phase plates (ZPPs) using computer simulations. After this, a project report was written about the process and the research. This report is maintained in the LLE database.
