Highlights:•Assisted with the launch of a new assembly area for 2016 Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Denali•Implemented a fault tracking system into more than 20 assembly machines in the plant. This system was used daily by managers, engineers, and maintenance to track reliability of existing and new lines. •Investigated and optimized a harness tester station that was responsible for several delays throughout the day. Implemented a new standard for current transducers that were better suited for low current levels. •Developed a PLC routine to synchronize the date-times of all machines on the plant floor at randomly generated times everyday.

Worked with robotics, intelligent vison technology, and wireless communication•Developed an Optical Character Recognition tool to recognize CAD text. This feature was used by Die Analysis to recognize CAD text that had been exploded (drawn as polylines). Die Analysis is a software created by Ontario Die used to analyse CAD files of dies from clients.•Assisted with the research and development of a new automated die tracking system used to monitor the yield from leather cutting dies - Developed user interfaces to be used by plant managers to monitor the progress of operators nesting hides for press- Built analysis tools that measured and analyzed manufacturing metrics to track performance- Worked with both RFID and vision technology to track the cutting dies- Wrote code for the migration from RFID to vision technology •Worked with the robots used for bending and bracing cutting dies •Performed preventative maintenance on inner tools used by the robots to bend cutting dies•Learned about the tool and die manufacturing industry
