• Inspected welds and/or parent material in various metallic constructs such as pressure vessels, pressure piping, skids, and bridge pile beam splices using ultrasonic and magnetic particle inspection methods• Performed corrosion surveys on mobile compressor stations for the purposes of fitness for service assessments (FFS) and prepared associated inspection reports• Travelled daily to client sites in the Calgary area and sometimes beyond to perform NDT inspections as necessary• Worked independently, completed inspections, and wrote technical reports for any inspected items in reasonable timeframes in order to satisfy client requirements• Communicated effectively with welders and quality control personnel to ensure that any inspected items met the code requirements and call for repairs as needed

Worked on excavation inspection programs for various clients such as TransCanada, Tundra Energy, TransGas, Pembina, AlliancePerformed inspections on a variety of natural gas and oil pipelines across CanadaInspections included:• 360 degree magnetic particle inspection in order to discover any cracking, particularly stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in the bare pipe body and welds• Identifying and correlating in-line inspection tool data with information as found in the field• Marking out on the pipe and documenting defects such as internal/external metal loss, cracking, geometry, and arc burns, including photos, as found and performing grinding repairs as required to remove cracking to sound metal• Ultrasonic (zero-degree and shear wave) inspections are performed as required• Utilize proprietary RTD LPIT (Laser Pipeline Inspection Tool) technology in order to acquire digital map of external metal loss on larger diameter pipeline (16+ inches) as well as generate a detailed report using custom software• Utilize Creaform Handyscan 3D technology to create 3D maps of small areas of external metal loss and deformation as well as analyze data for the engineering assessment purposes
