Design of Anti/De-Icing System for Offshore Structures

▪ Performed a literature review in the form of a report on Small Scale Wireless Inductive Charging For Model Boats▪ Explored different topologies for Inductive Power Transfer (IPT) and their merits/demerits: Series-Series (SS), Series-Parallel (SP), Parallel-Series (PS) & Parallel-Parallel (PP)▪ Analyzed industry available solutions for concept electric boat and provided suggestions concluded in the light of literature review

▪ Built (from scratch) a Rotating Measurement Cylinder (RMC) assembly which is used as a model to study ice accretion over aerodynamic structures (such as helicopters, aircrafts etc)▪ Automated the RMC assembly for motor speed control and icing mass analysis inside icing wind tunnel using industry standard load-cells and slip rings▪ In-between tasks include: required and suitable components selection, electrical circuit design (signal conditioning), sensors installation, calibration & testing, data logging

I performed a 4 week internship at Tesla Industries, Islamabad --- a private-sector industry that manufactures Solar Panels, CNG kits, thermocouples etc and also repairs inverters.During my internship, I acquired experience of testing solar inverters with ratings: 1kVA, 2kVA, 5kVA. Installation of solar panels & inverters and repairing of on-grid, off-grid & hybrid solar inverters were also the part of my job. The company also provides power-planning solutions to its customers; I acquainted myself with the basic knowledge of power-planning & load-management during my career at Tesla Industries.

I worked as a Trainee Engineer at Smart PCBs---a government-run facility (that manufacturing Printed Circuit-Boards. During my 6 week unpaid internship, I worked mainly at CNC drilling & CNC routing machines. My task was to obtain single-layer & multilayer PCBs from store & multilayer section, respectively and to execute excellon file obtained from CAD section.I also worked in chemical-section and performed etching, Plating-Through-Hole(PTH) and Hot-Air-Solder-Leveling(HASL) of single-layer, doublelayer & multi-layer PCBs. I had to report the head of associated section about my everyday task performance.
