Led the strategic projects in response to the Ramsay Panel review of external dispute resolution and its recommendation for the creation of a single consolidated scheme to replace the three predecessor schemes, namely Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS), Credit and Investments Ombudsman (CIO) and the Superannuation Complaints Tribunal (SCT).Secretariat duties for the FOS and SCT Joint Working Group (board committee) and Board of the Australian Financial Complaints Limited (AFCL).Key achievements:• Securing the Federal Minister of Financial Services' authorisation to the application (bid) on behalf of AFCL to establish and operate the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) external dispute resolution scheme.• The establishment and development of a program of work to deliver the key components of how a single external dispute resolution scheme could work (including proposal for a funding model, terms of reference and complaints handing process).Key responsibilities included:• Led the end to end project delivery across three work streams (proposed funding model, terms of reference and complaints handling process).• Led and supported components of significant strategic initiatives.• Oversaw the procurement and management of internal and external subject material experts to advance deliverables.• Performed robust strategic data analysis and financial modelling.• Built and maintained effective relationships with a wide range of external stakeholders including industry associations, regulators and government.
