To oversee all safety ,environment and security related matters in the UAE region , ascertain DP World UAE Region is line with DP World Global Safety and Environment requirements ensure DP World Ports in UAE Region is environmentally and operationally safe to do business.- To ensure DP World UAE Region compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety / Environmental Management Systems (OHSAS 18001 – 2007 and 14001 -2004)- Ensure safety standards are adhered in line with international Port Operations in order to prevent any major mishap in Operations. This includes overseeing safe handling of containers, cargo, hazardous materials, proper storage and discharge of cargo- Ensure necessary precautions are taken to protect the environment by implementing maritime laws, standards set by Dubai Municipality and other international organisation such as ISO- Monitor and review accidents at ports both major and minor and ensure zero fatalities through implementation of safety standards at work place- Develop appropriate strategies to protect goods stored within port premises, as well as protection to personnel and vessels calling at the port
