Working as an Instrumentation Engineer in the Measurements Standards Labs (MSL) under the Applied Research Center for Metrology, Standards and Testing (ARC-MST). My responsibilities include:● Calibrate radiation detectors to ensure accurate measurement and compliance with industry standards.● Perform maintenance and repair of defective equipment to maintain operational efficiency.● Handle calibrations for temperature, mass, force, and pressure, ensuring precise measurement and equipment accuracy.● Audit mechanical metrology laboratories for ISO 17025 compliance, ensuring adherence to international standards.● Oversee the implementation of Integrated Management System (IMS) standards for all mechanical labs.● Lead efforts to upgrade mechanical labs equipment by coordinating with external suppliers and vendors.● Collaborate with the Mechanical Engineering Department on various research projects.● Serve as a liaison with SASO to calibrate our primary standards in all the mechanical and electrical labs.

Research Experience:● Conducted literature reviews and background research on desalination technologies and processes.● Assisted with experimental design and data collection for water desalination experiments, such as Membrane Distillation and Humidification Dehumidification.● Conducted statistical analysis of research data related to water desalination using software such as MATLAB or EES.● Performed laboratory experiments on water desalination systems, such as testing the effectiveness of different membrane materials or evaluating the impact of different operating parameters.● Assisted with manuscript preparation for publications related to water desalination, including drafting and editing technical reports and academic papers.● Maintained laboratory equipment for water desalination and ensured laboratory safety procedures were followed.● Developed mathematical models to predict the performance of various water desalination processes.● Designed and fabricated Membrane Distillation units for water desalination systems.
