Worked as Engineering Specialist - New Technology - at Suncor Energy Inc. Calgary, Canada leading technology management processes from idea generation and technology scouting to project portfolio selection and gated management processes with focus is on well and pipeline monitoring.Responsible for maturation of multiple projects of innovative nature all oriented towards improving well monitoring and optimization with ultimate goal on increasing reservoir recovery factor. Smart-well completions, casing vent flows remedies, implementations of Fiber technology for chamber conformance, and pad’s wind downs are among those projects. Current roll involves mentoring, leadership, and inter-operator’s communications.The scope of this role has resulted in some patents and publications which may explain the nature of the projects. Several pilots have been tried for the first time and are in confidential phase.

Exploration & Hebron Subsurface Team..Involved in maturation and drilling HP/HT Ballicatters exploration well on East Coast Canada. This prospect maturation involves passing different decision gates till AFE stage. The execution work involves daily follow up on drilling activities, planning and running MDT program for pressure gradients estimates, and surface and down hole PVT sampling. The work also involves execution of coring program, setting and follow up on SCAL program, planning and executing DST with surface and down hole shut-in, and subsequent PTA analysis. After the drilling phase, commercial analysis for the prospect was concluded.The role also involves working among subsurface team in a joint venture asset with Exxon Mobil, Chevron, and Statoil setting up development and depletion plans for a Joint field at Gate-2 development phases in the Jean-D’arc Basin. The work involves participating in field development plans securing Suncor interest among Co V’s., follow up and advise on modeling and analysis work, and update Suncor books with reserves and forecast updates

Worked as a staff RE among multi-disciplinary Field Management Team (FMT) for Champion-West (CW) Field. The daily duties involve follow up and production optimization of CW wells via analyzing real–time downhole data for different sections of snake wells. Analysis of the DH data includes build up analysis, balancing PI of different sections, coning and cusping calculations, and optimizing production via nodal analysis representation. Worked as focal point for reserve booking, production forecast (short, mid, and long term) including annual business plan. Forecast is conducted using OFM (for old wells) and either MBAL or MoRes simulator for recent wells. Responsible for annual updates and follow up on WRM (Well & Reservoir Management) plan for Champion West field including reservoir depletion & surveillance plan, opportunity register, and work over portfolio. Mentor Junior RE’s and PT’s as per Shell mentor programs.

June 2006–Sept 2007 (end of concession) ConocoPhillips Dubai, UAE Fateh Mishrif Team Lead-Worked as a lead among multi-disciplinary, culturally diverse, team of GGRE staff responsible for managing matured Fateh Mishrif reservoir having over 40 offshore platforms and 170 active wells offshore Dubai.-Responsible for maintaining production levels of the field to meet previously forecasted production levels. Co-ordinate with other team leads overall business unit’s production levels, forecast, and shared facilities’ conditions. -Work all reservoir engineering duties including updates for simulation model using Sensor and Eclipse Simulator.-Duties included well work planning, new well forecasting/justification (simulation supported), lease financial performance reviews (annual), review perforation/stimulation procedures (work packs), production test coordination (synchronizing five SL and WL teams in the field), ensuring compliance with corporation regulations, and review of offset operators actions to ensure protection of company interests. -Responsible for annual drilling & work over portfolio for F. Mishrif reservoir.-Focal point for annual data gathering program for various reservoirs.-Resigned ConocoPhillips as concession agreement ended.
