As a Master of Science candidate in Ehealth at McMaster University, I am passionate about applying data analysis and technology to improve health outcomes and quality of care. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Science with a minor in Neuroscience from the University of Guelph, where I developed core competencies in teamwork, memorization, and data analysis.I currently work as a Clerical Assistant at St. Michael's Hospital and a Clinical Research Assistant at The Hospital for Sick Children, where I provide administrative and research support to the clinical teams in the hemodialysis and emergency departments. I have helped identify and enroll patients for over a dozen studies, conducted baseline and follow-up questionnaires, obtained insurance information and signatures, and completed data collection and chart review using REDCap. I also supervise and mentor volunteer trainees and assist in training and education of registration associates. I have completed several certifications in research ethics, dual-use in life sciences research, and integrative thinking, which enable me to bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team. I am motivated by the opportunity to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and practice in the health sector.
