Rehabilitation Manager In Rehabilitation Department At Hypo Alpe Adria Bank D.D.Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank D.D. - Rehabilitation Mar 2012 - Mar 2015Bosnia And HerzegovinaMy position as Rehabilitation Manager at Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank (later Addiko) was one of the most challenging roles in my career. My responsibilities included managing client correspondence, negotiations, and documentation, communicating with accountants, lawyers, consultants, and other banks, as well as reporting to various stakeholders such as the Management Board, Auditors, Regulators, Bank Group, and Federal Banking Agency. Additionally, I was responsible for preparing credit reports and special reserved provisions reports. My activities focused on managing and monitoring the assigned wind-down portfolio, dealing with difficult client relationships, and controlling documentation. I also supervised the corporate client portfolio categorized as rehabilitation and "workout" portfolio that was on the verge of becoming non-performing loans. My team and I tried to restructure and save these portfolios from becoming non-performing loans. Other aspects of my role included modeling various scenarios to evaluate restructuring alternatives, organizing and supervising collateral valuation, assessing, monitoring, and implementing legal recommendations, defining "Soft Fact" rating, and managing the rating of the entire Group of borrowers at the banking group level across six European countries. Handling daily communication with companies affected by the European debt crisis that lasted from 2009-2012 was a significant challenge, as these clients were on the brink of bankruptcy and often involved in legal disputes with the bank. Despite this, I was the most successful rehabilitation manager in the bank, with the highest number of positively resolved cases. -
