I have just completed an Associate's degree in Psychology at City Colleges of Chicago-Harry S Truman College. I have also completed the FirstGenU Career Institute, a program that helps first-generation college students succeed in their academic and professional endeavors.My most recent role was as a Retail Store Manager at Halloween Hallway, a fast-paced seasonal retail chain. I oversaw all aspects of store operations, including yearly setup and breakdown, inventory management, staff training, and visual merchandising. I was responsible for reconciling cash deposits, verifying transactions, promptly identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions to safeguard against financial risks. I used my event coordination and retail management skills to create a fun and engaging atmosphere for customers and employees, and to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals. I enjoyed working with a diverse and dynamic team, and I learned a lot from the experience.
