Streamlined online and offline engagement of volunteers and our broader public audience by improving the functionality of our current Wordpress site, and developing a Nationbuilder database to track relationships. Brought in $70,000 of grant funding for current and future grassroots organizing campaigns. Worked with transit riders, community and union members to successfully pressure New Orleans Regional Transit Authority to adopt a standing Riders’ Advisory Committee. Ongoing work includes: authoring blog posts, and writing persuasive newsletters in Mailchimp to encourage supporters to take action on current campaigns and policy initiatives; building & maintaining relationships with transit riders through grassroots actions, movement building activities, and base building tactics; and developing grassroots leadership to identify and execute grassroots campaigns to improve public transportation in New Orleans.

I worked closely with the owner of this boutique brick & mortar store to overhaul her online and offline marketing strategy, which has since multiplied her gross profit 55x. I coached her in outlining a full customer avatar, and defining her unique selling proposition, then rebuilt her poorly performing Etsy store with professional photos, adding detailed copy for each product, and applying Etsy best practices to rank highly in search results for relevant keywords. I then revamped her offline marketing strategy to bring in new leads through building business to business relationships, and creating stylish shock and awe boxes to build brand recognition and trust with pre-qualified brides.

Synthesized "Clean Air for Birmingham" plan into a strategic 3-stage campaign plan (Midwest Academy model) by organizing & archiving two years of past board and staff meetings, interviewing coalition partners, and facilitating 5 campaign planning meetings with the board and staff. Developed the first stages of campaign communication by working with the Executive Director to manage e-mail subscribers, & create a story-based social media strategy.

Elected to serve on this 7-member committee to govern and steer the Sierra Student Coalition on the national level. Served on the 3-person hiring committee for a new National Director, co-authored the first-ever strategic 5 year organizational plan, and recorded and compiled all conference call & meeting notes as Secretary.

Coached, supported, & collaborated with co-director and 7-member training team in planning & implementation of a week-long grassroots organizing and advocacy training program for 40-50 high school and college-aged youth. Managed team in preparation for the program with online document collaboration, twice weekly conference calls, bi-weekly check-in calls with individual trainers, co-director, and Trainings Director.

Recruited & trained 22 campus leaders at Sierra Student Coalition training programs. Launched Alabama's first-ever state network with a coordinated campaign on 4 campuses to draw attention to the sale of University property for strip mining for coal. Coordinated 5 consecutive events at all 4 campuses, and coached group leaders through event logistics and publicity. The events generated over 15 local media hits in 2 weeks. Organized a drafting committee in order to solidify organizational structure, and plan a state summit.

Recruited, trained, and managed 20 student volunteers (via internet & phone) to execute a 9-campus general recruitment campaign in Alabama. Successfully registered and sent 75 students to DC for Power Shift 2011 after mentoring the 20 recruited student volunteers to coordinate travel, housing logistics, and fundraising for their respective campuses.

Recruited, trained, and coached 30 volunteers to execute 6 grassroots movement building training sessions for the 80 youth from Alabama & Mississippi attending Power Shift 2011 in DC. Worked with New Organizing Institute Master trainer & lead training team to coordinate logistics, plan, & execute training content for Southeast regional "training for trainers" after attending a national "training for trainers" in DC as 1 of 4 selected lead trainers for the Southeast region.
