Learning Support Assistant
CurrentThrough Sep 2018 to Jul 2020, I was working as a classroom LSA based in Year 3. I would take small cutaway groups of up to 8 children, teaching them a learning activity. I would work closely with vulnerable children, SEN and Pupil Premium. This role allowed me to adapt my teaching style and techniques whilst allowing me to build relationships with all the children in my class. I am involved in leading a programme called 'Reading Plus', where I take 30 children across Year 6, to improve their reading level. This allows me to control a class of children, maintain behaviours and help them achieve higher levels of reading before SATS. Currently, I am working 1:1 with a SEN child, creating fun, engaging activities during their time at school. I have full control over our daily routine, proving science experiments, art&craft activities, physical games and Topic subjects.
