I am a motivated student who is extremely interested in working in the international field.I am currently a first-year undergrad pursuing a degree in Global and International Studies with a specialization in Global Politics and an interest in law. This was a deliberate and exciting choice for me, as I have always hoped to either become a lawyer or work at the Parliament. Having the Parliament close to the University seemed like a great opportunity for me. Starting with my high school years in France, and reinforced by the courses I have been taking this year, my interest in working in politics has been confirmed.I was privileged in my education as I earned the opportunity of attending the best public high school in France by securing a spot in their “Option Internationale” Section. I am fully bilingual in French and English, so can easily help out in the two official languages used on the Hill.I was an active student, participating in a nationwide competition consisting of working with and creating something from the French Constitution. In 2022, I won by rewriting the Constitution by adapting it to our modern world. This allowed me to really understand why laws require adaptation to mirror current societal needs, and I believe I could bring a fresh perspective with my background to any projects to improve the well-being of Canadians in today’s society.I also gained leadership skills through my role as President of the Model United Nations debate club at my high school. This position and my interest in the club allowed me to understand how important it is to gain different perspectives in any situation. It also helped me develop empathy, allowing me to understand how to compromise, listen and learn. I do believe this is an asset, especially in the context of law and politics.
