I have over 26 years experience in development management including time at Westminster City Council, LB Ealing, LB Camden, the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA), Epsom and Ewell Borough Council and my current position at LB Hackney. I was the East Area Team Leader within Development Control at Camden for four years, managing a team of up to nine staff until I joined Scott Wilson Ltd. as an Associate Director Town Planning Consultant in January 2008 where I was jointly responsible for running the Planning Team of eight. Whilst at Scott Wilson I was seconded for eight months in March 2008 to the ODA to run the Stratford City Team. My team was responsible for determining all reserved matters applications and S106 matters relating to the Olympic Village and the major extension to Stratford City Centre following outline planning permission in 2005 for the redevelopment of Stratford City rail lands. I was responsible for a team of six. In my previous role as Planning Development Manager at Epsom and Ewell Borough Council I am responsible for the management of the Planning Applications Team which includes enforcement and trees. I have 13 years experience in senior management. I have seen through a number of projects in Epsom and Ewell namely the station redevelopment by Solum, the redevelopment of West Park Hospital with over 400 units, the redevelopment of Nescot College and 160 new units on the college’s animal husbandry land, the new Comrades Club and hotel, the retail store and residential development on Upper High Street and the conversion of the Grade II listed Chalk Lane Hotel into flats. I am now delighted to be working in London again and have joined Hackney’s Planning Service as North Team Leader. I am an experienced case officer with considerable experience in dealing with major redevelopment schemes and complex and innovative S106 Legal Agreements and experience of dealing with well-organised residents and opposition groups to developments.
