I produced the 1Xtra Community Centre Tour and The Sessions taking 1Xtra and its talent across 6 cities in the UK. Within a team of just three people I was wholly responsible for sourcing guests, scripting seminars and creating workshops to capture the imagination of that hard to reach young and diverse audience.

As part of the core team I supervised all the radio and music strands in hands-on workshops. This involved writing teaching materials, planning conferences and supporting attendees and guest speakers. This role was essential to the smooth running of the Academy and was an exercise in managing complex partnerships with multiple stakeholders.

Specialist knowledge of gospel music together with my experience producing live shows led to an invitation to join the team on this BBC2 primetime show.

Led the team to the only Sony nomination in the show's 60 year history.

I was one of three members of a core team that launched "Switch" Sunday nights as essential teen programming on Radio 1. This show also launched the radio career for Nick Grimshaw as this was his debut slot on the network. Also responsible for finding and booking new talent for specialist music programming like the Ras Kwame Show. Namely securing Amy.

I produced OBs and live inserts for rolling news, entertainment and music programmes. I consistently generated and developed creative treatments for daily output and delegated stories out to reporters.

I undertook research for music documentaries on Radio 1/1Xtra and Radio 2. I headed up the commissioning rounds for the networks helping with development, writing and organisation

I was responsible for finding new soul, gospel and hip hop acts from the UK and abroad. I interviewed artists, edited and mixed material ready for transmission. I developed strong bonds with major and independent record labels and wrote in-depth briefs and cues for the senior producer and presenter.
