I’ve been required throughout my Civil Service career to adapt to changing roles, embracing new ideas and several periods of transformation. In a changing environment within defence, I’ve always strived to enhance my performance and education, seeking knowledge and experience to help me grow both personally and professionally. I’m very keen to acquire new skills and have recently worked, as a member of the RDP, on loan to DIO Accommodation, providing both Commercial and financial support – both the later disciplines were completely new to me and I actively embraced these opportunities and their related challenges. My strengths include working well within a team and collaboration with my stakeholders to help deliver a better working environment for everyone, while maintaining professionalism in all my chosen disciplines. I enjoy challenges and alway's work to the highest standards. I always maintain that success can be achieved by working together and ultimately by communication, drive and determination. Therefore by clearly demonstrating the desire to actively embrace new opportunities we can all succeed.

As a Business Manager on loan during the development and implementation of our new Single Living Accommodation Management Information system (SLA MIS, TRIRIGA). I wrote the very first Governance and Assurance (G&A)document for TRIRIGA. This database was created using a COTs system and implemented in collaboration with contractors IBM across the Uk and Overseas. I identified key stakeholders and wrote robust processes and workflows to assist USERS of TRIRIGA, proving that timely G&A would provide value for money, by ensuring effective use of SLA, by minimizing the cost of using privately rented properties Substitute Single services Accommodation (SSSA). I liaised with all the relevant stakeholders, organized G&A working group meetings, developed a framework and effective controls. I achieved this by producing and delivering presentations to the strategic business areas at working group level to guarantee buy-in. I liaised with all stakeholders face to face and forwarded the first draft of the G&A document to stakeholders requesting feedback. The document achieved buy-in, as I had identified measurable parameters and robust processes identifying potential risk to USERS, which produced mitigation and opportunities head of it’s in-service date. I arranged follow up meetings to share information and experience to all stakeholders, suggesting it we have a living document, to allow all workstream to adopt the same practice and behaviours outlined on an enduring basis. In addition, the document contributed to roll-out ahead of time, with effective performance in place enabling the DIO to achieve one of its key objectives for DIO Accommodation transformation.

Business And Risk Manager

• Line Manager of 2 staff and responsible for developing and implementing a Output Matrix and Configuration supply System covering 17 Individual Business Agreements. • Following Project leader methodology, I produced a Business Case and created a Project Plan, defining project phases and work streams, and related sub tasks to relevant stakeholders to align configuration control. • Established good working relationships with 17 separate stakeholders, creating fast and effective support to all project leads across DE&S• Set up regular review meetings to improve performance monitoring in line with output. I also created a number of reports to target performance, which was pushed out to all audiences and levels each month. • I produced quarterly performance reports for Health and safety on a SHEF database. I also have a general responsibility for ensuring the health and safety of all personnel, • Developed a Stakeholder Engagement and Communications plan which gets reported to 1* Business Reviews• I produced and delivered a policy statement for myTeam Leader in the newly formed Air Commodities PT at Abbey wood

I've recently taken on a loan with the Substitute Accommodation area of the MOD. • Tornado Project Risk Manager ensured the team Risk process was fully embedded within the Project Team, ensuring all risks to PT outputs were recorded and actively managed and escalated accordingly. • I escalated PT risks upwards within the wider DE&S and also provided PT risks to HQ Air Command which contributed towards the central Risk & Issues register.• I negotiated with external Risk software providers to develop and deliver a robust Risk Management tool for 300 + personnel and contractors.• I formulated and disseminated a Training Needs Analysis to 300+ personnel to identify the training needs of the Project and Programme joint Management team and BAEs.• I negotiated with existing training providers based at Abbey Wood and interfaced with the Wyton training provider to deliver training at Wyton for 300+ personnel with relevant training packages for all abilities at no cost to the PT achieving the very best value for money.• I negotiated with Senior Management and signed a contract with that training provider to have that training delivered to the PT at agreed time scales and within budget.

• I prepared and entered contract action onto the Commercial reporting tool CLAN, updating, writing and implementing new branch targets in accordance with government pricing qualities, enhancing my support to existing Commercial staff. I facilitated the updating of processes and procedures, ensuring they were current and in line with policy and procedures.• Focal point for enquiries and action on all the over and above pricing, challenging costs with customers both on the phone and face-to-face, to ensure our contracts reflected what had been agreed. • Managed and maintained contracts effectively, with our customers, to improve working relationships and their expectations. • I developed a process to ensure timely completion of AD-HOC returns as and when required.
