Plan and facilitate deployments for military exercises at home and abroad. Organised the deployment of 376 people to Oman for a joint exercise with the Omani Air Force. Main POC for Marham/Coningsby Expeditionary Air Wing, coordinating the deployment of 600 personnel for a major Exercise, working alongside the French Air Force. POC for the Unit for Post Crash exercises with local authority emergency planning departments. Involved with Flight Safety, Human Factors trained, Post Crash Management Incident Officer.

Training in electronic warfare for aircrew. Various trials for industry. Deputised for Station Commander when necessary. Participated in training and exercises with the local authority's Emergency Planning group along with the Emergency Services, in case of another situation happening such as the floods in Cockermouth. Main achievement; making a cohesive Squadron from a disparate group of people, persuading them to become a team, resulting in their being awarded an Air Officer Commanding No 1 Group Commendation.

Responsible for scrambling Quick Reaction Alert aircraft as required. Operations Training Officer, was responsible for introducing a formal training system, where students are evaluated against recognised standards and the training tailored to their individual needs and weaknesses. Students were of several different nationalities so diplomacy and intuition was needed to overcome the language barrier.
