Manager: Library and information curation and preservation services at the CSIR. Career at the CSIR started as a librarian. Due to my interest in IT I participated in automated library projects starting in 1993. In 2000 I participated in the restructuring of the CSIR's information services. From 2001 to 2005 I was the manager of several of the branch libraries. During this time I was also involved with the investigation and analysis of electronic services such as using video debriefing as a knowledge management tool and the migration of databases, the implementation of quality control policies and the implementation of new e-resources. I completed my MPhil (cum laude) in 2008 and the title of my mini dissertation is “Development and Implementation of an Institutional Repository within a Science, Engineering and Technology Environment”.
