About Adele Leung

Adele Leung is a multilingual Hong Kong native who currently resides in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Having worked with student organisations like Young Post (of South China Morning Post), RoundPier, and Dear Asian Youth, she constantly exercises her interest in international politics, data analysis, investigative journalism, and business economics. She currently represents her county as the Member of Youth Parliament for Cheltenham and Tewkesbury under the British Youth Council, for which she's been interviewed by BBC Radio Gloucestershire and Gloucester FM among others, as well as worked with councilors and MPs on local matters. As part of her work in interdisciplinary politics, her paper, Partisan Polarization: Political Perceptions of the American Jobs Plan was published by Indiana University in 2021. She's also a member of the NHS Youth Forum and the Youth Advisory Boards of Savera UK and GamCare. In her spare time, Leung evaluates articles at up-and-coming research publications, tries her hand at graphic design, and participates in city-wide academic tournaments, for which she's achieved sizeable recognition; alongside her responsibilities as the Vice Captain of the World Scholar's Cup Team at St. Stephen's Girls' College, Editor-in-chief and Head of Design at Cheltenham Bournside School's magazine, she carries multiple accolades in speech and debate, including Best Speaker in the prestigious Hong Kong Secondary School Debating Competition. A student with a versatile skillset, Leung aims to modernise traditional media prototypes with digestible mediums and the aid of scholarly research. Going into Year 13, she is looking to apply her growing knowledge in a career in politics or law.
