Reader in molecular virology, Research Leader for Genomics and Infectious Diseases, International Co-Director for the School of Life Sciences at the University of Westminster. Module leader for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Biomedical Sciences modules, Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology. Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects and had several successful PhD completions. My research interests focus on HCV and HIV antiviral drug resistance, involvement of Human Endogenous Retroviruses (HERVS) in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), screening of novel/sustainable compounds for antiviral effects against SARS-CoV-2 and variants of concern utilizing 2D and 3D human lung culture models.
