My role as an assistant business development chef is to support a cross-functional internal team, primarily focusing on cost sector, regional and free-trade food service. Within this role, I also support the development chef with national accounts. My aim is to offer creative solutions to customers on how they can best utilise the McCain product range across all sectors. Working closely with customers, both internal and external, is a key part of this role. As a result of building strong relationships with national, regional and cost sector account customers, I have aligned goals and product solutions to fit individual portfolios.

The main focus for this role was to create Intellectual Property (IP) through fundamental and applied research. Within this role, I was also responsible and accountable for new product development for breakthrough technologies and products on a regional and global scale. Building relationships and working closely and professionally with internal customers, both global and regional, allowed complete product development execution, from creation through to launch.

Responsible for assisting the development team with all day to day support duties to ensure smooth, timely development - to include preparation of samples, ingredient supply, production of new concepts, assisting presentation preparation, food delivery, cooking instructions, nutritional analysis and assisting, and where appropriate, hosting line, production runs and pilot trials.
