Sinclair Product Management is a family owned company that operates within the Australian Fashion Industry at a number of levels. SPM's activities include designing & manufacturing clothing, running a wholesale sales agency, operating retail sales and product development. Adele's role at SPM since joining the business in 2007 has been to establish and develop an offshore product development business for the company. Adele's responsibilities include:- Forming constructive and secure relationships directly with factories in mainland China;- Visiting factories and suppliers in China to oversee production, maintain quality standards and source new product ideas and raw materials;- Initiating and overseeing the implementation of creative direction across a broad range of product categories;- Establishing pricing formulas to calculate landed costs associated with manufacturing and importing a broad range products;- Negotiating cost effective freighting agreements with freight forwarders;- Analysing forward markets for trends that are likely to translate and penetrate into the Australian market;- Sourcing suppliers that can supply quality products at competitive prices. Allowing SPM and its clients to reach GP objectives;- Ensuring ongoing compliance with Australian & International customs and import obligations;- Creating new client relationships all over Australia with retailers, wholesalers, corporate bodies and branded entities that have a need for custom designed & manufactured products;- Assessing new business opportunities, and new markets within which there is the potential for SPM to attract clients and establish a point of difference;- Understanding clients' creative, product and financial objectives, so as to develop product and retail strategies that respond to their needs;- Establishing and building new retail and wholesale brands for SPM and its clients across various segments of the Australian retail market.

Adele's role at Macquarie was as a Portfolio Manager in the Real Estate Structured Finance Group. This role provided invaluable knowledge and experience in investment analysis and transaction based structuring concepts. Adele's responsibilities in this role included:- Identification and analysis of new property investment opportunities throughout Australia on behalf of the Macquarie Bank Real Estate Structured Finance Division. Performing due diligence with respect to potential investment opportunities; - Researching and presenting new business opportunities to the Business Development Director of the RESF Division; - Preparation of reports detailing new business and investment opportunities, so that the deals can be reviewed and approved by Macquarie’s internal credit division and other Division Heads;- National responsibility for complex financial, tax and legal deal structuring to ensure that deals are structured in a tax effective manner having regard to all relevant legal and financial parameters;- Maintenance and review of complex feasibility and cash flow analysis in relation to both potential deal opportunities and existing deals;- Preparation of financial and management updates to Macquarie Bank executives in relation to Macquarie's real estate investments and joint venture participations.

Adele commenced working at Andersen (which ultimately merged with Ernst & Young) in July 1999, whilst completing her Bachelor Of Commerce degree full time. Adele progressed quickly at Andersen and Ernst & Young and was promoted to the role of Manager at a young age. During her time at Ernst & Young, Adele's role involved taking responsibility for the following tasks: - Preparation of detailed advice to clients relating to the Australian Taxation System;- Assisting Ernst & Young corporate clients in structuring complex financial transactions in a tax effective and commercial manner so as to maximise asset protection and eliminate unnecessary tax liabilities;- Delegation and review of work performed by senior accountants and graduate accountants, and management of staff performing a variety of activities (e.g. Income Tax Return preparation, tax advice preparation);- Forming strong relationships with Ernst & Young clients so as to ensure client expectations are exceeded and Ernst & Young’s exposure to new transactions is continuously assured;- Managing E&Y teams to produce outstanding outcomes for clients, and mentoring staff members to facilitate the development of their careers;- Managing billing and recovery of costs associated with client work, including budgeting and quoting for work in advance;- Identifying and pursuing opportunities for work with existing clients and targeted clients.
