For the sales and marketingdepartment I have provided exhibition material, data sheets and advertisements.In order to simplify the engineering, production and sales process I havedeveloped templates and routines and made them easily accessible on theintranet. QA, HSSE manual and work procedures in our production site as well as in our project department are also inculded in the work.

Through Techconsult.Contractor through Techconsult. I wrote basis-of-design documents, user manuals,and test and assembly procedures for choke kill modules and running tools(subsea tree installation). Working next door to test and assembly facilities, gaveme a good opportunity to test my instructions in the workshop. I performedSAFOPs (Safe Work Operations) to verify that my procedures were safe toperform. I checked industry standards, for example the machine directives andlifting standards. At Aker, I started working on documents at a very early stage andit gave me a good understanding of the product and enabled me to perform aquality control role by giving feedback to the designer. In this way I have helpeddesigners to improve product functionality, stability and safety as well as to correctthe BoM.

At FMC International.In this first assignment in Norway I worked as a contractor, employed by IDEAConsultants. In the MPS department (Manifold and Pipeline System) my main areawas Templates and Manifolds. and I wrote user manuals such as ICP, OPR, PSM,THI and DFI as well as test procedures HFT and FAT. I worked closely withdesigners and project engineers to discuss the best way to install, operate orotherwise handle the structure.Besides explaining through figures and drawings, I think it is important to be consistent in technical writing, not only in my own work, but also the work of other writers and communicators in thecompany.

The company develops, manufactures and markets systems for mechanical splicing of wire rope. I wasin charge of all technical documentation for pull test benches, swagers, annealing and cutting machines. I made general instructions instead of specific and thereby reducing the numberof pamphlets produced.I wrote mostly in English and when dealing with other languages I coordinated translations fromagencies. For a while I was in charge of our quality system and handled claims.

Upon finishing my last education, I started my own company and worked at SKF as a consultant. Iwrote product dossiers in different languages and I was responsible for the Swedish and Hungarianversions of the main catalogue.From SKF I learned how to write product information in very unusual languages and the experience of running my own company.
