Heavy Vehicle Industry Australia (HVIA) represents and advances the interests of the entire heavy vehicle industry involved in the design, manufacture, importation, distribution, modification, sale, service and repair of on-road vehicles with a gross vehicle mass or aggregate trailer mass over 3.5 tonnes. HVIA members encompass truck and trailer manufacturers, body builders, dealerships, repairers, and component, equipment and technology suppliers.My role is about advocating for change that will improve the regulatory and policy environment for HVIA members. This includes engaging with stakeholders and developing relationships with key decision makers (Federal Ministers, State Ministers, Government Departments and other industry associations), to ensure they understand HVIA’s positions.One of my priority areas is about improving the take up of low and zero emission vehicles. This includes looking at public recharge infrastructure, equipment subsidies / taxation relief, skills funding, removing policy barriers.
