Project: Economic Analysis of Methane Emission Reduction Opportunities in the Malaysian Oil and Gas SectorThis project aims to develop a systematic approach to evaluate the marginal abatement cost (MAC) for methane emission reduction in the upstream stages of Malaysian oil & gas industry. The developed MAC curve will aid the decision-makers in the industry in implementing suitable emission reduction strategies at their facilities. Moreover, the results will also guide the policymakers in shaping relevant policies in this field.

Completed three months industrial placement at the commercial ceramic tiles’ production plant, assigned to Body, Glazing/Englobe and Printing Department respectively.- Routine sampling on clay slip to ensure it meets the plant’s production specification- Performed various lab testing: -- Body Formulation Test on formula given and evaluate the product’s specification -- Deflocculation Test to identify desired deflocculant for the plant -- Glazing Testing on inkjet printing tilesAchievement:Provided the company an analytical report of each lab activities for R&D purpose.

Completed two months industrial placement at Moyog Water Treatment Plant (Potable Water).- Dtermination of Moyog’s daily sludge production based on inlet turbidity- Analytical lab testing on raw waterAchievement:Provided the company a comprehensive report titled ‘Evaluation of Moyog Water Treatment Plant Daily Sludge Production’ as a baseline study for the design of sludge treatment facility.
