Project: Route 2 Resurfacing and Safety ImprovementEast Hartford, CTCost:$62 MillionDuties:-Manage a night staff of 6 inspectors.-Coordinate daily with the Resident Engineer and the State's Project Engineer to ensure communication between shifts and timely resolution to issues.-Oversee the repair of 3 miles of 4 lane concrete pavement repair, 15,000 tons of HMA and PMA, replacement of 2 bridges, repair of 4 bridges, over 1 mile of new drainage, 15 miles of IMS systems, pipe-jacking, soil nail systems, sheet piling, MSE walls, new lighting, new signalization, reconfiguration of the roadway, staged construction, temporary bridges, and numerous outfalls in the Connecticut River.-Coordination with shareholders and emergency services to ensure timely resolution.-Provide daily reports, attend monthly progress meetings and QC meetings.-Provide nightly MPT overview to ensure safe travel, and make recommendations to the contractor to ensure compliance with federal and state specifications.-Assist with materials sampling and review, price justifications, NCNs, off-site inspections, facility review, and make recommendations based on contractor and designer proposals.
