I studied Architecture at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London, but am an entrepreneur, working at the intersection between my passions of technology, design and the built-environment. I founded digital agency Despark while still at university in 2007, and grew it to a significant business serving start-up and blue-chip clients worldwide, before selling to Paperhat (now Paragon) in 2014.I co-founded the wikipedia for buildings, OpenBuildings, in 2010, where we had a mission to create a digital record of every single building in the world. We raised $2.6m in funding from BlueRun Ventures & Index Ventures, launched a mobile app "Buildings" which was organically downloaded millions of times and launched Clippings as a product marketplace for the industry.I co-founded the b2b interior product marketplace Clippings in 2014, where we enable 600+ furniture/lighting manufacturers to connect with interior designers, architects, real-estate operators and property developers looking to discover and purchase on our platform, as well as manage their projects using our workflow tools. The company grew to become of the largest industry sellers in the UK market, raised ~$20m in funding and was sold to Material Bank® in August, 2021.Today I lead DesignTechnologies, a Material Bank® company and spin-off from Clippings, where our mission is to power digital commerce for the interior design industry by building SaaS solutions that enable FF&E brands (furniture, lighting, materials etc) to digitise their sales processes and launch new online b2b/b2c/b2b2c sales channels.
