I do different activities related with software, research, training, development, consulting, and tech-based startups and social ventures. I am responsible for several course units related with Software Engineering at University of Porto (FEUP) and I do research at INESCTEC.Along more than 25 years doing software development, I found to be passionate about designing and architecting highly complex software systems, pushing agile methods (XP, Scrum, Lean), developing wikis and open collaboration tools as digital learning environments, and also crafting minimal tech for social impact.Current major research interest is Live Software Development, a way to push technical agility to a new level. My research wide topic is software knowledge management practices and tools for highly effective software development teams and organizations.Beyond the field of software engineering, I'm also exploring and applying innovative software solutions to other audiences and fields, such as agile social ventures, productivity tools, and personal knowledge management.
