As a process planning engineer, determining the work centers for processes and parts according to their constraints is my main responsibility. While assigning the parts and the processes to the optimum work center, making risk, ergonomics, pre-sequence, capacity analyzes are taken into consideration. Within this perspective increasing the sustainability and quality of the line, balancing the capacity are the success key for the studies. All analyzes and studies are changable according to the product type and its configuration. In addition to these, supporting SAP transition period, supporting Kias-ArbeitsPlan integration for plant Ankara which is used by Volkswagen companies to manage their workflow, integration the JIRA system into production as a key-user, developing appropriate band design to increase production capacity of the new technology composite ceiling are in my tasks.

During my internship, I worked on mechanical assembly line mapping on L4C buses with CNG, which are project buses. I had the opportunity to observe the project follow-up processes and the problems in the production line.

As a senior project student at the company, we worked with my teammates and mentor to create a decision support system at one of the quality points called Green Point3 (GP3). The aim of the study is to process the data from the quality point, to present the processed data to the decision maker and to develop a system that will help the decision-making phase. AHP and TOPSIS algorithms were used within the scope of the study to select the bus in the best condition.

During my time at the company, I had the chance to be closely interested in TPS (lean production) and Kaizen. I learned about the interdepartmental duty type and the work flow of hydraulic cylinder production. It is the company where I do my compulsory internship. After my internship, I had the opportunity to conduct time studies for a while.

It was a short term branch internship which I have had in-depth knowledge about finance / economy and banking, which is one of the foundations of the Industrial Engineering department and one of big business area. During this time, I have gained valuable information about banking, banking terms and working principles of the service sector as a volunteer intern.
