In this role, I am responsible for executing public relations and marketing communications efforts for the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce and Conway Publications Inc.

I taught two introductory public relations courses during the 2015-2016 academic year in UCA's Department of Communication.

I was responsible for writing and distributing news releases, media advisories and email campaigns; proofreading internal and external communications; developing, updating and monitoring social media efforts; updating and maintaining the content management system for the website; and managing the organization's database.

In this position, I composed news releases and media advisories, drafted an image-building campaign for the organization, organized and updated various electronic databases, and assisted the educational programs department with the promotion of workshops and special events.

As a marketing/public relations intern at St. Anthony's Medical Center – now CHI St. Vincent Morrilton – I wrote news releases and the monthly “Practical Wellness” column; designed fliers for the “Love Your Life, Love Your Heart” health fair and the Foundation’s “Memory Hearts” fundraiser; contacted potential sponsors for the Foundation’s annual “Prom Angels” fundraiser; brainstormed school sponsorship ideas for 14 public and private schools in Conway, Pope, Perry and Van Buren counties; and performed miscellaneous tasks such as filing and proofreading.

As an RA, I was responsible for establishing a comfortable living environment for all residents by developing educational and social programs, enforcing the policies of ATU’s Office of Residential Life, and ensuring the safety and security of the building. I was named the campus-wide RA of the Month in March 2006 and was nominated for my residence hall's RA of the month in October 2005.
