I am a PhD candidate in the department of Land Surveying and Geoinformatics. With my research hovering around addressing the consequences of Climate Change, the primary focus of my study is to develop a novel Remote Sensing and Machine Learning based Model for Urban Heat Island Analysis.My academic journey began with a solid foundation in Urban and Regional Planning, where I earned both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees. Driven by an unwavering passion to apply cutting-edge technologies to tackle the complex challenges of contemporary urban environments, I embarked on a doctoral study in the Department of Geoinformatics.Throughout the course of my PhD, I have honed a diverse set of skills, including expertise in Spatial Data Analysis, Thermal Image Sensing, Algorithm Development, and creation of Machine and Deep Learning Models. My key contributions during my Ph.D. include:(i) Development of a Thermal Image Fusion Algorithm: I have successfully designed and implemented an innovative algorithm for fusing thermal images, a critical component of my research in Urban Heat Island analysis.(ii) Documentation of Guidelines for Optimal Thermal Image Fusion Results: Recognizing the importance of sharing knowledge, I have meticulously documented best practices and guidelines to achieve optimal results in thermal image fusion processes.(iii) Development of Machine Learning Models for Air Temperature Prediction: Leveraging the power of Machine Learning, I have created models capable of accurately predicting air temperatures, a valuable tool in understanding and mitigating the effects of Urban Heat Islands.I am enthusiastic about collaborating with fellow researchers who share a similar passion for addressing pressing societal issues and exploring novel research frontiers.
