Adérito Seixas graduated in Physiotherapy, focuses his clinical and research practice in neuromusculoskeletal rehabilitation, and is passionate for evidence-informed physiotherapy and data analysis. He received his MSc from University of Porto (Portugal) for a thesis focused on the assessment of sensorimotor skills of athletes with and without visual impairment and completed a post-graduation course in data analysis in the same university. He is also a board member of the European Association of Thermology and member of several scientific societies. Currently, alongside his work as a full time Professor on a Physiotherapy Graduate course and Master Program at Escola Superior de Saúde Fernando Pessoa (Porto, Portugal), he is carrying out research for his PhD, focusing in the biomechanical and thermophysiological assessment of the foot in diabetic patients at risk to develop foot ulcers. His research interests lie in evidence-based practice, assessment of the neuro-musculoskeletal system in a clinical, sporting, and occupational settings, and in the role of cognitive assessment in human adaptation to performance situations. He is a member of the editorial board and maintain regular activity as reviewer in several international scientific journals and has also been a member of the scientific or technical committee of international and national conferences. Along the years he has published several articles in scientific journals, book chapters in international publishers, full articles/abstracts in international conferences, and has presented several oral communications in international congresses.In recent years he has developed skills related to clinical practice education, scientific writing, data analysis, leadership, and management.
