Identify risks and provide employers with effective strategies and solutions for handling complex challenges in the workplace, courtroom, administrative board room, or at mediation. Keep employers abreast of enforcement trends, including by the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and other administrative agencies, and changing laws impacting company policies, practices, and procedures and prepare and update employee handbooks. Provide best compliance practices for developing affirmative action plans in light of executive orders and changes in federal laws, including Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act. COMMERCIAL LITIGATIONRepresent national, regional, mid-sized, and small businesses as well as individuals at the trial and appellate levels and in arbitration in a wide array of civil litigation matters involving aviation, contract, insurance, finance and banking, property, energy, oil and gas, media law (including Texas Public Information Act, defamation, and Anti-SLAPP statute suits), bankruptcy, and trademark matters, as well as third party subpoenas. REGULATORY REPRESENTATION Work with team of attorneys to represent regional and small businesses in high-stakes state and federal regulatory proceedings affecting electric utility and communications providers.
