CurrentAs the Head of Sales and Marketing (aka The go-to guy of the company), my primary role was and has been leading the sales department, overseeing activities of the junior and senior professionals and monitoring performance as a whole. I defined and communicate the business’s KPIs and targets to junior sales personnel on a regular basis, analyses patterns in consumer and market behavior, and subsequently define data-driven action strategies in order to consistently optimize the business’s commercial performance. Aside from the data-driven nature of the job, it is also very collaborative as I must pay due attention to all our portfolios and ensure customers get value, as there is nothing I can achieve without my team. Other Key Responsibilities Includes:1. Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies and initiatives.2. Ensure sales representatives perform as per expectations and attain sales targets.3. Represent the company at trade shows, associations, and meetings to promote products and programs4. Sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities.5. Develop and maintain a network of relationships with all our vendors.6. Accomplishes marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs; developing field sales action plans.One of the goals we met for 2019 was getting 5 direct clients to become key accounts for the agency, as a result, we were able to close in on our 1billion naira sales target.
