I was approached by the IT director at Pyranet IT and after a chat, decided to move to Pyranet as I believed this would progress me further in the IT industry and expose me to more technologies.Not only has Pyranet allowed me to build on my existing experience, but I have been able to work with new technology such as Asterisk phone systems, Hyper-V and clustering, remote desktop broker services and failover, layer 3 switching, VMWare, SAN's, Office 365, advanced group policy configuration, Azure deployment and administration and more.

After years in sales, I realized my passion was for IT and made the decision to become an engineer again.I started working at Custard IT on a voluntary basis in order to gain some recent experience, I have picked things up very quickly and have been fortunate enough to work with new technology such as Windows server 2012 R2, Hyper-V virtualisation and network solutions such as Cisco and Barracuda.After three months at Custard, they offered me a full-time role, and quickly became involved in 2nd line jobs and projects.I bought and built my own server at home and setup a Hyper-V lab as I believed this would be the quickest way to become proficient in the technologies that the company sold and supportd. I played a major role in moving a handful of clients from onsite exchange to Custard in-house hosted exchange.As an engineer, I was responsible for delivering technical support to customers over the phone and on site. I was also involved in projects such as server installs, server migrations and exchange configurations.I was able to pick up a wealth of knowledge during my time at Custard and I thank both directors for providing me with the opportunity to gain valuable experience.

During my college days I worked at Custard, mainly as a part time IT technician building and repairing systems. It was not long until I was on the business floor engaging with customers and selling, consulting and helping out with business development projects.
