As the founder of a boutique event management and production firm in New York City, I manage various roles and tasks by partnering with other independent professionals to work on the various Africa focused client events. In addition to producing events and conferences for client's, I produce original content and programming for the signature African Symposium events. African Symposium's mission is to catalyze social impact by raising the standard of Africa-focused events that are in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Producing small and large scale events for clients and consulting on program development and PR while also developing African Symposium, a full-service Africa focused event management company. Most recently, my team and I produced a large-scale event for Brand South Africa, celebrating South Africa's Heritage Day & Mandela's 100th Birthday with Ministers, activists and High officials at the Rubin Museum in NYC.*Brklyn Commons Coworking, Flatbush & Bushwick locations, Corporate Partnership LeadForging profitable corporate partnerships and promoting the coworking & event spaces. Spearheaded the program and content management of the 20th Annual Investing in African Mining indaba and the Metals and Minerals investment conference series, which included:• Conducting in-depth research to identify key trends and industry issues• Targeting and securing senior leaders that build integrity to the speaker faculty and ensure the greatest opportunity for event profit• Lead person for on-site management of each event program by working closely with the marketing and operations teams.As part of the management team and the only Africa expert, I worked directly with the finance, sales, marketing, operations and customer service managers to ensure all aspects of each event runs smoothly and in accordance to the assigned revenue/profit budget and project schedule.

Planned and organized high level Africa related academic conferences in New York and internationally. Cultivated and maintained Africa House’s relationship with government representatives and donors. Managed the daily operations and annual budgets of the Africa House and the Dei Center for contemporary African Art in Ghana, including overseeing support staff in New York and Ghana.
