Working extensively across several aspects of the IT industry from store based retail through to back end systems administration and vendor liason I bring a superior command of written and spoken language to both my in person and online interactions.Taking a pragmatic approach, whilst I have a preference for Linux based systems, I am platform agnostic and seek to increase the benefits both my clients and employers obtain from their IT systems.Understanding that not everyone is competent in the areas that I am, as others are more competent than myself in their own areas of expertise, I strive to make my skills as effective as possible within the workplace. Clearly communicating with colleagues and third parties in a patient manner compatible with their level of computer literacy, I actively avoid condescension, acknowledging that for others computers are a tool, a means and not an end.I seek to further my technical and business knowledge and consider education an ongoing process. I find working in a multi-disciplinary teams especially rewarding given the exposure to different skills and points of view.
