In the current market in Vancouver, there are no retractable type foils that are incorporated in aftermarket boats and pleasure crafts; foils are permanently attached to the boat keel causing inconvenience to the clients to tow and adds docking restrictions during maintenance activities.In order to give pleasure craft owners, the liberty to sail on foiling or non-foiling mode; Developed a concept-based 3D model of a retractable type of hydrofoil kit that can be retrofitted in pleasure crafts of 30-40 feet long; the project objective was to improve the boat performance in terms of speed and reduction in fuel consumption. During the project; performed task on choosing ideal NACA foil sections to generate lift that is greater than the weight of the pleasure crafts conducted lift and drag calculations, CFD analysis using ANSYS-FLUENT software

Clients include major oil companies such as Total,Saipem, drilling contractors, shipping companies TK as well as owners and operators of floating production units.•Act as Project Manager , I was responsible in providing team leadership during works to ensure engineers have all required support and resources, deadlines are met, and that work is carried out in accordance with established safety standards and to clients’ defined requirements.•Was responsible in ensuring all floating docks and assets comply to different standards of classification: Lloyds Register, American Bureau of Shipping, Det Norske Veritas and Nipon Kyokai.•Succeeded in executing high-risk dock-gate cofferdam repair works project in 2017, involving coordination with underwater divers and steel workers. This was a high-risk project with potential for loss-of-life. •As Lead Engineer, achieved class survey certifications for Republic floating dock (22,000 ton, 202m x 42m), Karimun floating dock (21,000 ton, 230m x 35m), 150-ton floating crane barge and deck loading barges, ensuring compliance with all class surveys.•Actively involved in budget estimation for the assets and procurement of materials for ongoing vessel repair projects.• Worked as Project Advisor for group of 10 students from National University of Singapore in developing an adjustable Fendering system to minimize friction and damage to vessel hull due to varying tidal heights while berthed. Highlights:•Won ASMI CMS Award 2017 for strong leadership capabilities, excellent performance and acting as a role model through positive work attitude and safety-first mindset.•Won Bronze Award at Association of Singapore Marine Industry Innovation competition for project Just-Plug-It! in 2019.•Won Gold Award at Workplace safety & health Innovation Carnival for project Just-Plug-It! in 2019.
