About Adhithya Suresh Kumar

I have been in Reverse Engineering for the past 4 years debugging and analyzing various binary architectures and programs ranging from the typical Windows x86_64 executable to FORTRAN code. My passion for understanding control structures and defeating obfuscations within binaries started when I played my first Capture The Flag contest. Being selected as one of the national finalists for InCTF 2019 exposed me to various opportunities that helped me grow and eventually contribute to various CTF wins as part of Team bi0s, India's No. 1 CTF team since 2016.Developing elegant tools and scripts to automate tasks has been one of my passions. I have built several libraries and tools to disassemble, debug, compile, transpile, and lift various custom architectures. As part of multiple contests, I have also built several scripts to defeat obfuscations using techniques like symbolic execution, binary instrumentation, etc.My current research interest lies in the field of Windows Kernel security and rootkits. I have been researching on various rootkit techniques and developed multiple PoCs to try and test my ideas of evasion techniques against Windows security. As part of my work at Traboda CyberLabs, I frequently develop PoCs for evasion techniques as part of our Red Teaming exercises and simulation of adversarial attacks. I have also developed multiple toolings to automate findings of several vulnerabilities across Windows applications.Being the Team Lead of India's best CTF team, I have represented the nation and the team across various national and international contests like the "Qiangwang" International Elite Challenge by Cyberpeace China, and IIT Bombay's TrustLabs CTF and was selected to represent India from Asia Cyber Security Challenge as part of ICC.
