About Adhitya Shreyas Sripennem

I am pursuing my Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering Sciences. My passion is Astronomy and Space Science, and I aspire to become a Space Scientist in the near future. I am currently looking for a Research Position in Graduate School. As an Instrumentation Lead on CANVAS, a satellite mission that aims to study the climatology of anthropogenic and natural VLF wave activity in space. I handle the testing of the B-field and E-field instruments, and write test scripts in python to model the FPGA function. I have also gained experience in Space Mission Design and Satellite Design, through my internships at Valles Marineris International. SSERD and Tod'Aérs helped elevate my interests in Space Science and Astrophysics which led me to take part in research on Solar Physics and Dark Matter.

Serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (TA) for ASTR1020 Stars and Galaxies under Dr. Leah Simon. Handling an undergraduate level course of about 80 students, in-charge of two Learning Assistants (LAs) and assisting with theoretical and technical aspects of class.
  • University Of Colorado Boulder
    Instrumentation Lead On Canvas
University Of Colorado Boulder May 2023 - Present
Continuing my work on CANVAS (Climatology of Anthropogenic and Natural VLF wave Activity in Space) with the FPGA Testing. Additionally I was given the opportunity to handle the Testing of the B-Field and E-Field instruments itself with various tests involving its performance capabilities to achieve satisfaction of its science requirements.
  • University Of Colorado Boulder
    Volunteer Fpga Tester On Canvas
University Of Colorado Boulder Jan 2023 - May 2023
As an FPGA Testing volunteer, my focus was on writing test scripts on python to model the FPGA function. The FPGA uses fast Fourier transforms (FFTs) to reduce the data collected from the upcoming satellite CANVAS (Climatology of Anthropogenic and Natural VLF wave Activity in Space). Specifically, I worked on the E-field and B-field channels of data and testing the same data reduction techniques to the several channels.
  • University Of Colorado Boulder
    Graduate Teaching Assistant
University Of Colorado Boulder Jan 2023 - Apr 2023
Serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (TA) for ASTR1000 The Solar System under Dr. Marialis Rosario Franco. One of the two TAs in an undergraduate level course of about 400 students, in-charge of two Learning Assistants (LAs) and participating in resolving academic questions and grading.Conducting Night-Sky Observation sessions at the Sommers-Bausch Observatory handling two 20-inch PlaneWave CDK Telescopes.
