I built an environment with a bin of objects, a 12-DOF robotic hand and sensors to read proprioception data using Gym and MuJoCo. Defined methods in Python to enable position control for the hand and collect & process the proprioception data & contact information. Developed Deep Neural Network models using TensorFlow that take the proprioception data as the input and predict which fingers are in contact with the object and points of contact with an accuracy of 94% and 92% respectively.

Designed a simulation model for dynamic analysis using multi-body dynamics software MSC ADAMS. Determined the workspace and kinematic parameters of the manipulator using co-simulation approach between MATLAB-Simulink and MSC ADAMS.

Design and Development of a Compact, Energy Economic Powered Knee Orthotic DeviceDesigned a novel compliant actuator mechanism to restore normal knee gait using SolidWorks. Optimized the design parameters using Particle Swarm Optimization to make the design energy efficient, compact and light weight, by amplification of input motor torque. The optimized design parameters resulted in an amplification of input torque by 10 times at the knee, thus reducing energy consumption. Verified the optimized mechanism by comparing the kinematic and dynamic parameters obtained by simulations in MSC ADAMS and analytical calculations in MATLAB. Manufactured a 3D printed prototype which was used to conduct initial experiments.
