Adiah Shaw (She/Her) is a recent graduate of The Ohio State University. She studied women’s gender and sexuality studies, which allowed her to gain knowledge on how gender affects society. Her studies have allowed her to apply this knowledge to real-world problems and have a deeper understanding of Women’s Health. Adiah’s post-graduate role as a Quality Outreach Coordinator allows her to outreach to families, complete health assessments, and connect the family to resources. This role gives Adiah the opportunity to research community resources and to attend educational seminars that will further enhance her knowledge on subjects such as parental rights, Medicaid, SNAP program, etc. Adiah has had the amazing opportunity of helping families in her community and connecting to the administration side of healthcare. She is passionate about Women’s Health and wants to continue her education. In Adiah’s free time (when she is not studying women’s health), she loves to read, dance, be active, cook, and take nature walks.
