• Provide management reports, forward estimates, financial position reporting, evaluation, and cash flow data to management, projects and program owners• Provide financial trend analysis, reporting and advice to the executive and senior staff on all financial issues• Assist Department Managers with the planning and evaluation of capital works, and asset replacement programs• Review processes and procedures and ensure they align with best practices and that they are properly documented• Provide support in the production of monthly management information• Ensure proper financial reporting systems and accounting records are maintained in accordance with a sound internal control and governance framework• Understand and document all material cost drivers for each particular business operation of the UniversityDuring this role, I have been seconded to the Accounting, Control and Reporting Unit for almost a five months period performing the following additional tasks:• Preparation of monthly budget monitoring reports for KAUST Investment Company• Analyse and record monthly reporting information on managed funds, real estate and hedge funds, and reconcile them with the custodian reports• Report on portfolio performance and variances• Administration of monthly operations for the Investment Company and other KAUST subsidiaries, such as processing accruals, recharges, invoices, managing inter-company accounts and monthly reconciliations.

The purpose of the position is to manage the full range of management accounting activities in support of the University and its divisions. This involves working closely with Finance team members as well as business managers and senior managers across the University to ensure accurate management accounting and the provision of insightful reporting and analysis.

Full time postgraduate student, recipient of a merit scholarship, in a program developed by the University of Chile, financed by BHP Billiton and offered to eligible students. The University of Chile nationally selected 50 talented professionals (of a pool of 1.781) for the program that included studies in Chile, USA, England, Australia, India and China. The program included a full scholarship for all the selected professionals, 2011 - 2012.
