Working with different teams on several projects for a Fintech company, helping them improve service reliability and also offering solutions for cloud architecture improvements. Some of my daily activities include backend development, cloud infrastructure automation and system design. Another component of my role includes organizing regular internal workshops for other software engineers around DevOps and Systems Design best practices. I am involved in the process of interviewing and onboarding new DevOps engineers.

I worked in the API team as a developer of the REST API, but also did a lot of DevOps work when needed. When I joined, my task was to build the infrastructure to support the API, QA, WEB, Mobile (iOS, Android) teams through the whole development cycle. After that I helped the API team with the backend development. I also had the role of Technical Lead on Infrastructure in the Development Council meetings.

In the first year and a half after LiveRail was acquired I worked mainly on migrating the whole infrastructure on Facebook's stack. After that I worked as a Production Engineer with Source Control Team. I helped them increase the stability of the services that were used to host all the FB's code base (Mercurial and Git). Also, I took the role of mentor for new employees in the enrollment process, which I absolutely loved.

I was part of the team that took care of Liverail's large ad serving infrastructure which included thousands of hosts in AWS, Rackspace and Softlayer. My role was to perform regular system updates, monitoring and troubleshooting, take care of release process, maintain the internal development environment and tools, write various scripts to automate some of the processes.

I was part of a team that provided technical support for one of the first hosting companies in Romania. My role was to act as a Tier 3 level support and lead the support team (3 people). Some of the work included: maintaining and troubleshooting cPanel/WHM and FreeBSD/Centos, answering tickets, conducting interviews and training new hires.

I was responsible with administering the DVR rack used for video surveillance and the access control server.
