About Adib Faramarzi
It's been more than 12 years since I moved from Java and Backend into Android development and I can't seem to get enough of it!I started development of Android in a small company in 2012 just as Android 2.3 had recently came out and through the years I worked for different companies working with and maintaining their Android applications through feature development, architectural upgrades and more. As years passed, I was recruited as a team lead in TAPSI in 2018. Beside Android development, I was to manage the Passenger team (which included Android and iOS members). Later on, my responsibilities grew to managing both Driver and Passenger teams in the Mobile department and after a few years later -since 2022-, I'm the head of the Mobile department (which includes all Android, iOS and QA members and leads) in TAPSI.I'd like to stay on the edge of technologies I work with, such as Android, Kotlin, Java and programming in general and guide my teams toward technical and quality excellence. I also very much like to grow the programming/Android community in Iran with public events (such as DroidJam), articles, videos on YouTube and more . I'm a heavy user of TDD and XP and through the years I've tried to teach TDD to members.Beside technical stuff, people management has been a great addition to my responsibilities over the years. Directing the teams' vision, technical roadmap, planning and decision making, developing our team-leads' careers through 1-1s and creating value for our users in the great scale of TAPSI has had a lot of learning for me which definitely helped me grow.Before Android, I've been into programming C++ for game development in 2005 and around 2008 I moved to PHP and website development and later on Laravel to develop clients' websites. In 2010, I changed my direction to Java and web applications out of interest and worked on a backend project on J2EE.
